Conrad Resorts World Las Vegas

Dare to Dream

Reflecting the limitless energy of Las Vegas, the colorful art collection welcomes guests as they check-in to the Conrad Resorts World Las Vegas, leaving their daily lives at the door and finding themselves transported into a fantasy world of excitement and glamour. Centered around the theme ‘Dare to Dream’, the vibrant collection is a playful ensemble of fine art, photography and sculpture, carefully curated to evoke the essence of escapism, whilst maintaining luxury and sophistication. The collection challenges color use to create a brilliant and daring compilation designed to inspire and energize the guests of the hotel, all adding to the Las Vegas experience.

Suspended above the VIP check-in desk, is a light installation of globes that ArtLink commissioned SOFTlab design studio to produce.  SOFTlab combines a research-based design practice with a focus on the way technology, craft, and materials can be used to explore the boundaries between architecture and people.

“Aspiring to emulate the essence of Las Vegas through the art collection, we were able to work with boundary pushing artists who create art that inspire and arouse. We had a lot of fun curating this vibrant collection for the new Conrad Resorts World in Las Vegas, and hope that these spectacular pieces will indeed contribute to the guests’ Las Vegas experience.”

— Tal Danai, Founder & CEO, ArtLink

Photographic artist and graphic designer Marlies Plank was commissioned by ArtLink to design three pieces for the hotel, each united through a dreamlike energy of floating animals. Taking center stage is Plank’s nine-piece paneled installation of floating elephants and bubbles in the clouds, reminiscent of a circus performance determined to whisk guests into a different universe. The Vienna born artist superimposes colorful patterns and designs over digital photography to create profound works that explore humanistic ideas whilst conveying emotion through an overlap between real life and a dream state.

Part of Karen Jerzyk’s Lonely Astronaut series, ArtLink sourced the vignette-style photograph that appears like a moment frozen in time. The floating astronaut attempting to grasp butterflies in a decaying room depicts a strange dream that merges the past and future with a hint of both happiness and darkness. Like most of Jerzyk’s pieces, the Lonely Astronaut series is inspired by fairy tales and sci-fi; a perfect match for the adventurous and limitlessly themed art collection.
