Seek the Moment

You are invited to step into of world of creativity and joy on the world’s largest cruise liner. Through the prism of its art collection, Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Sea encourages you to seek new adventures and interact with its experiential art befitting each section of the cruise liner.

Every space in the ship has a unique narrative to tell of wonder and curiosity. Through the varied art collections, exploring the ship itself becomes a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From a larger-than-life dragon seeming to swim through the decks to the sparkling mixed media works lining the golden walls of the luxurious casino, every art collection reflects the spirit of that space and pulls the guest into a wondrous world of art and play. Inviting them to seek the moment.

Fantastic Creatures

“It simply isn't an adventure worth telling if there aren't any dragons."

— J.R.R. Tolkien

The symbol of luck, prosperity, and power, towering across 11 decks, is the monumental Dragon Robots. This whimsical version of the fantastic creature is a beautifully crafted adaptation of ancient imagery from myths and lore. The artist considered a variety of sea creatures to swim between decks before having his ah-ha moment. In Chinese mythology, dragons were believed to move entire bodies of water, and despite being wingless had the ability to fly. The dragon itself is truly the wonder of the sea and became the perfect embodiment of the journey that guests take while onboard.

This playful and interactive work accompanies the guests as they venture from one activity to another. The impressive 2,200kg statement is floating in the most central space of the ship, radiant and mesmerizing in its blue chrome scales. Without a doubt one of the largest and most iconic works to be seen aboard a vessel.

Flush Royale

Every face tells a story. In this case, the story is of decadence, love, and luxury. Every one of these digital collages is a love letter to the fashions of the 1940s and 1950s. The artist herself started in the field of fashion, studying garment design before taking her naturally creative visions to depict more than the clothes and jewels, but the women behind them.

With references to iconic luxury brands that have held their status as premier labels for over a century and the sultry winged eye-liner from decades past, these works emote old a strong vintage feel. Luxury and opulence, extravagance, and excess are all attainable if you play your cards (or your chips) right.

Ocean Sunset

These unique reflective works glimmer in shades of gold and are beaming with affluence.

The artist used thermoformed glass, a unique process that allows him to create texture without losing the perfection of the circle. Through this technique, a striking surface was constructed, so that the glass reflects the light in a different way from every angle. The artist used every shade of gold leaf available to reflect the changing shades of a golden sun setting into the ocean.

The Solarium

A unique collection for a unique space. The solarium neighborhood spreads across three decks where guests of the Wonder of the Seas can gather to socialize under the sun, just like any neighborhood park.

Botanical Sculpture Hybrid Series

“When I confront plants, instead of looking at their color and form, I try to listen.”

- Azuma Makoto

The former rock musician turned to floral art when he realized the commonalities between flowers and music. Now, every work is a pursuit of the beauty of plants from the unique perspective of song. Many of his projects bring his flowers into worlds that they could not exist on their own. Verging on fantasy, but always rooted in the natural world.
