Inside the ArtLink Process

The Caribbean Manta Rays

The monumental suspended manta ray sculptures hanging in the elevator shafts are reminiscent of traditional Caribbean tribal tattoos, each representing patterns from a unique island’s culture. One of ArtLink’s most complex projects yet, the five sculptures each weigh almost 1,000 lbs. and together rise ten decks high.

Read about how ArtLink handled the full project, from initial concept to installation.

The Bodhi Tree

The futuristic, nine-deck high wishing tree installation in the elevator shafts was designed by Studio Vibhor Sogani to capture the childlike wonder of discovery and revelation. Caribbean Spirit

Various artworks throughout the collection showcase the region’s rich traditions and natural splendor, immersing guests in the culture, rhythms, and beauty of the Islands. Each piece offers a deeper connection to the vibrant stories, history, and essence of Caribbean life, celebrating its local heritage.

ArtLink proudly presents the RCL Caribbean Artist Initiative, featuring works a dozen Caribbean artists throughout the collection. A special feature is located on decks 3-5 of all the stairs & landings, dedicated entirely to locally-made art.

The Pool Deck Mural

The Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) fan room is a new addition to RCL's Oasis class cruise ship. This "adjective" structure could not be covered by paints and other traditional mural materials. ArtLink met the challenge by collaborating with a leading global decal company, renowned for producing cutting-edge solutions for the aviation and maritime industries, to craft a striking mural. The mural was engineered with specialized decals to withstand the extreme conditions at the highest point of the ship, ensuring durability and visual impact.
