Talk with ArtLink's Tal Danai at the Seatrade Cruise Virtual 2021
Curated Conversation: Responsible Tourism – The Case For Regenerative Tourism
In the last few years, the ideas of being environmentally conscious when you travel, and eco-tourism, have been booming, with a constant message to leave everywhere you go exactly how you found it. But when many places you go are already littered or damaged, perhaps the answer is to go a step further and leave it better than you found it.
This panel looks at what it means to be a responsible tourist, how regenerative tourism can work in practice, and show how important it is that tourism and travel work for everyone, the planet included.
Speakers Include:
- Moderator: Tal Danai, CEO and Founder, ArtLink
- Prof. Jonathon Day, Associate Professor, Graduate Program Director, School of Hospitality and Tourism Management
- David Leventhal, Co-founder, Playa Viva
- Erik Johanssen, Creative Director & Founder, Stylt
Seatrade 'Curated Conversations'
In collaboration with Seatrade Cruise Global, ArtLink’s founder Tal Danai developed a mini webseries, bringing together speakers with a shared vision of designing and building the next generation of tourism.
2020 has sharpened our understanding of our responsibilities to the world around us and its reflection within us. Championing cultural sustainability through ArtLink’s practices for over two decades, it was Tal’s enthusiasm to help drive a social change towards our lifestyles that encouraged the development of this series.
