Our budget on this project was one of our smallest, and yet the impact of the art in the hotel is one of the most striking. The rich local Belgian history inspired a unique collaboration with creative designers, where the bed’s headboards became unexpected locations to exhibit art. ArtLink selected historic Flemish paintings and secured the copyrights for their reproduction. ArtLink’s curators and designers decided to reinterpret the artworks in duo-tones that both modernized the historic paintings and created an iconic image for the hotel.
