Navigating a New Voyage

On the new Mein Schiff 7, the "feel good ship" concept is taken to new heights. TUI Mein Schiff 7's commitment to hospitality is designed to make every moment of your stay an unforgettable journey of pleasure and relaxation. The ship's art collection, thoughtfully curated by ArtLink, features works by artists from around the globe, with a strong emphasis on European artists to resonate with the Mein Schiff sensibilities. Embodying the Mein Schiff philosophy that every moment is a journey, the art collection invites guests to explore and interact with artworks, guiding them to create and collect memories with each interaction. As they navigate the collection throughout the ship, they become the creators of their own memorable journeys.

Navigating Shape & Form

Embark on a journey of discovery where the art collection celebrates the spirit of maritime exploration. Inspired by seafaring tools and traditions, each piece sparks a sense of adventure and connection to the world around us.

From map-inspired works to symbols of navigation and wayfinding, the collection invites guests to reflect on their own journeys. A highlight of the collection is a striking wood veneer mural, inspired by maritime aesthetics, that explores form through shape and color, encouraging viewers to consider the interplay between the two.

Maritime Switchboards

Two wall installations made of ceramic tiles are arranged in patterns reminiscent of a navigation switchboard, inviting guests to consider the intricate connections and systems of communication essential to seafaring. The works reference the complexity of maritime navigation, both past and present, and encourage viewers to reflect on how information flows across distances to guide journeys.

Maritime Navigation & Wayfinding

Routes and paths woven throughout the ship by Studio Digonnet encourage guests to reflect on their experiences and plan their next destinations, creating a sense of anticipation and exploration. Other works by the studio are reminiscent of submarine crafts, capturing the mystery and wonder of underwater exploration.

Journeying through Nature

The art collection embraces the spirit of discovery, drawing inspiration from archaeology, marine biology, and the legacy of famous explorers, botanists, and naturalists who once sailed the seas.

Hypnotic

A hypnotic work by French digital artist Mathieu Merlet Briand anchors the collection. Composed from thousands of digital images and data, the piece shifts with the viewer’s movement, blending nature and technology into a dynamic, panoramic experience. It invites a deeper connection with the natural world through interaction and sensory engagement.

Exploring Matter & Form

To honor Mein Schiff 7’s commitment to sustainability, ArtLink curators commissioned a series of bioplastic sculptures by emerging artist Caroline Zimbalist. Placed throughout the ship, each piece explores organic forms and colors inspired by nature’s constant evolution. The versatile bioplastic allows for endless creativity, making every sculpture a unique expression of eco-conscious art that invites guests to reflect on the connection between art and the environment.

Stairs & Landings

For the stairs and landings, our curators conceptualized and art directed two complementary collections that engage guests throughout the ship. On one side of the ship, a series of works by one artist features maritime navigation symbols across all stairs and landings, evoking the precision and mystery of seafaring exploration.

On the opposite side, another artist’s series depicts explorers journeying through diverse natural landscapes, inviting viewers to see themselves as travelers and embrace the adventure ahead. Together, these installations weave an immersive narrative of discovery and adventure.

The Art of Italian Dining

In the Italian restaurant, the art collection immerses diners in Italian culture, engaging all five senses. Vibrant earthy colors and warm Roman-toned ceiling sculptures set the mood. Modern adaptations of Roman sculptures by Maison Dada blend tradition with innovation.

Explore Italian Baroque and cuisine, stroll through a gallery of iconic Italian cinema moments, and imagine your own joyride on a golden Vespa, capturing Italy’s charm and romance.
